Luigi Sibona is a neurodivergent writer and director known for crafting genre narratives that delve into complex social themes. With a flair for creating unexpected and visceral stories, Luigi’s work aims to challenge conventions while never forgetting the thrill of a gripping yarn.

After years honing his distinctive visual style in music videos - often collaborating with his trusted DOP, Jordan Stephens - Luigi made a splash with his BAFTA-qualifying debut short film, Mantis. The film garnered accolades at numerous BAFTA and Academy Award-qualifying festivals worldwide, including the Best Horror award at the British Short Film Awards.

His follow-up short, In Your Hands, produced by the award-winning Grey Moth, continued his success, earning selections at prestigious festivals like the Academy Award-qualifying Tampere Film Festival and BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival. The film has amassed multiple awards, including the Audience Award at the BIFA-qualifying North East International Film Festival and Best Short at the British Horror Film Festival.

Luigi is now in post-production on his most ambitious project yet, Far From The Plains, co-written with Niellah Arboine and produced by Grey Moth and Noir Productions. Alongside this, he is actively writing and developing several other projects, including his first feature film.
